Paola Kennedy is a wellbeing professional, entrepreneur, educator, mother, and psychology graduate with over 15 years’ experience across the wellness, mental health, education, and innovation sectors. She is the founder of Self and Others Wellness Centre in Tralee, where she delivers trauma-informed wellbeing programmes, therapeutic yoga interventions, and personal development initiatives for individuals, community groups, healthcare organisations, and schools.
Paola adopts a biopsychosocial approach to health and wellbeing, which recognises the interplay of physical, psychological, and social factors. She has experience supporting people living with chronic health conditions, recovery journeys, and mental health challenges. Her work integrates evidence-informed practices, mindfulness, movement, and health education to support people in their relationship with themselves and others. She has collaborated with organisations including Recovery Haven Cancer Support House, the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association, Family Carers Ireland, Coolmine Therapeutic Community, and a range of educational and community services throughout Ireland.
Paola holds an MBA from Munster Technological University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Dublin City University. Paola is currently undertaking an MSc in Health Psychology at Ulster University and is a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT). She serves as an Executive Board Member of the Kerry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre, volunteers with Aware’s national support line, and mentors secondary school students through the Student Enterprise Programme, an initiative of Ireland’s Local Enterprise Offices.
Her work is driven by a commitment to inclusion, empowerment, and evidence-informed approaches to health and wellbeing, supporting individuals and communities to cultivate resilience, connection, and quality of life.
